This page explains where our information comes from, how often we check it, and what to do when we get something wrong.

How the maps are made

Every diagram here is drawn from scratch as an original schematic. We do not trace, recolour or republish artwork produced by an airport authority, an airline or another publisher. Our maps are deliberately simplified: they show the arrangement of terminals, the connections between them and the ground transport points, rather than an architecturally precise floor plan.

Where the information comes from

Terminal assignments and layout are checked against the operating authority’s published information. Where a carrier’s own listing disagrees with the airport’s, we check both and say so on the page.

How often it is checked

Every airport page is reviewed quarterly, and immediately when a terminal closure, reopening or major carrier move is announced. The date shown on each map and page is the date of the last check, not the date it was first published. See it in practice on the LAX page.

What we cannot tell you

Gate assignments change daily and sometimes hourly. Always confirm your terminal on your boarding pass or in your airline’s app before you travel; this site is a guide to how an airport is arranged, not a live source.

Corrections

If something here is wrong, please tell us and we will fix it and update the verification date. Accuracy is the only reason this site exists.
